Our overseas pupils have arrived and are in quarantine. Here is an update of what they have been doing.

Beks was the first pupil to return to King’s for the start this new academic year. After 2 days of travelling, he was very pleased to arrive at Priory House, where he will call home for 14 days.

We have a group of 5 pupils in total who have flown in to quarantine from Spain, France, China and Uzbekistan. Their first request for supper was for a large take away from the Sun Inn. Since then, they have enjoyed the House garden, played badminton and have been cooking. Having chosen ingredients for their favourite dishes, Pepa and Johnny made homemade breaded chicken, potatoes and diced carrots for supper. Further ingredients have been bought from Jamie Oliver’s cookbook and the group are looking forward to a chicken stir fry and a green macaroni cheese over the weekend. Mrs Vigers-Belgeonne (Head of Food Studies & BTEC Hospitality) would be very proud of these endeavours.

We are very fortunate to have our Housemasters and Housemistresses staying overnight on a rota for our quarantine pupils. In total, 25 teachers and matrons have volunteered to help create a happy environment, ensuring the pupils have as safe a start as possible to the term.
