The U6th Form BTEC Hospitality pupils are completing their Alcoholic Beverage Service unit and the criteria requires them to have an understanding of the production, food matches and types of wines, beers and ciders.
This week we completed the red wine tasting, looking at the levels of tannins and how these can be softened by aging and serving with different types of foods.
Sadly, one of our class, Alpha, remains at home in Bhutan, but still enjoyed the lesson via Teams, and Mrs Vigers-Belgeonne tasted the wines on his behalf! We miss not having him back at King’s, but in each lesson we value his contributions and his smiling face.
