Our charity colour run for BEAT was such good fun...

To raise awareness on equality and diversity and recognise Pride month, we held a fantastic colour run. The run was introduced to the pupils in Assembly by Sebastian and Alexina who explained to the School why we recognise Pride month and how the colour run was representing our recognition of equality, diversity and inclusion.

Pupils were asked to wear their House tops for the day and after lessons they went up to Hyde to compete in the run. Pupils loved it as during the 1.2 miles they were splattered in eight different colours of powder. Some pupils jogged it very quickly, others took time to enjoy the sunny weather and the end result was pupils finished with huge smiles on their faces and covered in rainbow colours. The staff enjoyed either taking part or throwing the powder and the Headmaster proved to be a very good aim at the final ‘yellow’ station. The pupils enjoyed rainbow lollies as a reward for making it to the end and over £300 was raised for our school charity this term, BEAT.
