The King's Big Band played a fundraising gig at Caryford Hall...

On Sunday 26th Feb, the Big Band played a gig at Caryford Community Hall in support of their fundraising effort to extend and improve the facilities for the local community. It was a well-attended event and was also an excellent opportunity for the band to practise the set list for the upcoming ‘Swing into Spring’ event at King’s. The band performed admirably, and were enthusiastically received by the audience who praised their professionalism, musicality, and commitment in learning a wide variety of music, which was further outlined in a number of letters expressing gratitude received after the event. Well done to all involved and good luck for Swing into Spring!

Oliver Higgs - Head of Music Technology

A note to thank you all for such a splendid performance. We all thoroughly enjoyed an afternoon of such professionalism, and we are delighted to have raised over £500 for the extension to our Hall. Please thank everyone who performed, it was such a success and good to see everyone so smartly dressed. Tom Burr - Caryford Hall Committee, Castle Cary
