On the 20th April 2021, Tom, Ollie, Jake, Katiya and Hugo ran a social enterprise event with the aim of raising money and awareness for the mental health charity - YoungMinds.
YoungMinds is a charity which really resonated with them as the Covid-19 lockdown had affected many teens social and mental health. The idea for the event was a basketball throwing competition where people were given the opportunity to have 30 seconds to score as many hoops as possible for prizes if they came in the top 3. The prize for the top spot was a set of LED lights, and the prize for second and third place was a box of sweets each. The top scorer for the event was Ollie from Old House who managed to score 6. In joint 2nd were Ollie (Old House) and Sandy (Blackford House). The pupils are delighted to have raised some funds and awareness for the charity.
