Modern Foreign Languages Academic Events

On Wednesday 31st January, we celebrated the King’s Day of Languages with the aim of learning and celebrating languages outside of the classroom.

The day was a great success, with a range of activities such as Salsa and Meringue classes in Spanish, multilingual football and an Italian treasure hunt. Pupils were taken out of their comfort zone, stretched linguistically and challenged to apply linguistic principles learnt in class. Special mention must go to to Luke and Finn who vlogged their way around the treasure hunt. Stay tuned to the Modern Foreign Language's Twitter page to see the fruits of their labour. A big thank you to all of the Modern Foreign Languages Department team along with the 6th Form for their help and enthusiasm throughout the day. Further thanks must also go to all those around the School who supported the event.
