3rd Form pupils had fun at Mill on the Brue...
After the first attempt at this trip last September had to be cancelled due to torrential rain, it was fantastic that it was able to go ahead with the bonus of beautiful bright blue skies. The 3rd Form pupils had a wonderful time taking part in high ropes and obstacle courses. The 3 separate groups of pupils listened really well to their instructors and were a credit to the School. A huge thanks to Ms Checketts, Mrs McMunn and Miss Ling who accompanied the individual groups.
Emily Simper - Deputy Head, Pastoral
‘The pupils were guided through a hillside assault course with lots of scrambling under obstacles, balancing on beams and climbing up and over high ramps. Many of these challenges involved teamwork, so it was good to see the boys and girls working together to find strategies to improve their overall performance timings. This proved a popular, if exhausting, bonding exercise. The recuperation time in the sunshine among the lovely wild flowers of Mill on the Brue was certainly appreciated as well, on this fun afternoon.’ - Nicky Checketts, Head of EAL
3rd Form pupils said the following about the trip:
- ‘The obstacle course was hard work but good fun’
- ‘It was a lot of fun in the sun’
- ‘The climbing wall was great fun’
- ‘It was a great trip as I spoke to other pupils that I didn’t know very well’
