After 2 weeks of mocks for the 5th Form pupils, it was definitely their turn for a night of fun.
Mr Wilmshurst, dressed in his kilt, explained the importance of Scottish reeling in the future at Weddings, University etc and told the pupils that as long as they can count to 8 they would be fine! Although many had never done any Scottish dancing before, they managed to master the Dashing White Sergeant dance quite quickly. The Gay Gordons proved slightly harder, but they did eventually get there. We finished the night with another 2 rounds of Dashing White Sergeant, and by that stage, all pupils were really keeping to time and the smiles and laughs showed how much they were enjoying it. My thanks to the Headmaster for demonstrating and keeping the pupils in time and Rev'd Beverly for videoing the film footage.
