BTEC Hospitality pupils put on a fabulous five-course taster menu with paired wines...
This week has brought great excitement to the U6th Form BTEC Hospitality pupils, as they delivered a Showcase Culinary Event to staff and honorary invited guests. These included local businesses who have helped support and shape our course, The Queensbury Hotel, The Newt, The CellarHand and Mill on the Brue.
This event was planned and delivered entirely by the pupils who took on roles as Project Leaders, Front of House team, Kitchen Team and Sommeliers. Each had an important role to fulfil in making sure a five-course taster menu and paired wines were served to a high standard and on time. L6th Form BTEC Hospitality pupils helped support with impeccable service.
The menu and wines were selected by the pupils themselves and the quality of cooking and service was exceptional.
They are a credit to our King's BTEC Hospitality department and demonstrated their true capabilities after two long years of disrupted events due to COVID. The food was creative, inventive and professionally plated. A huge well done to all involved.
