On Tuesday our eco group met for the first time and we divided into smaller, more specific groups. fundraising, rewilding, media and behaviour. We will now carry on to meet each Tuesday and develop our ideas further. At the moment our main priority is fundraising so that we can apply for the green flag so on Wednesday next week the fundraisers will be hosting a sweet stand in break.
Throughout the Climate Conference in Glasgow we've been hearing the #environmental concerns of young people in our diocese.

Today pupils @KingsBruton share their messages for world leaders meeting at 🌍 #COP26 pic.twitter.com/csxrmXJLpN
On Wednesday I was fortunate enough to go up to Glasgow to COP26. I listened to talks from famous activists including Vanessa Nakate and also a group of youth activists from Wales. The atmosphere was amazing and an experience I won’t forget. There was a protest going on outside the blue zone, where the World leaders were, about fossil fuels and people suffering from climate anxiety. Whilst I was there I met the green flag organisation who gave me advice for our Eco group at school and most effective things we can achieve.
