On a wet afternoon in September, the inaugural Skateboarding and Scootering Afternoon Activity set off for Pilton Skate Park.
Although it was wet when we arrived, it was not raining so the pupils got stuck into trying out the facilities and their boards. The park had a great variety of obstacles and it was able to allow the experienced, as well as the novice, to enjoy an hour or so of fun.
In the future we will explore Wincanton Skate Park as well as the “half-pipe” in Jubilee Park and, of course, there will be the inevitable end of term meal to look forward to as we approach Christmas.
The activity is open to boys and girls and they need a board/scooter as well as a compulsory helmet.
