Sixth Form Product Design Trip to The Design Museum in London...
A group of Sixth Form Design & Technology pupils enjoyed a brilliant trip to The Design Museum in London which helped complement their subject knowledge and classroom learning.
The group enjoyed exploring the superb Skateboard Exhibition which tracked the development of this unique mode of transportation and entertainment. The pupils saw how design, fashion and materials technology have helped what was originally a plank of wood evolve into a state of the art product. After this we visited the inspiring Enzo Mari exhibition which showcased his personal journey of development and the creative range of products he designed throughout his career.
Finally, we took on the thought-provoking Designer, Maker, User experience which took the pupils through a series of notable design movements, designers and products which have had significant influence on modern society. All in all, a fabulous day and one which the pupils not only thoroughly enjoyed but also benefited from immensely.
