A busy summer for our Estates Team...
It has been an incredibly busy summer at King’s Bruton. We have balanced income generation by hosting a series of groups of foreign pupils throughout July and August, whilst ensuring that we continue to support local organisations to hold their showpiece annual events, including the Bruton Art Society and Bruton Horticultural Show.
We have seen some outstanding young Somerset cricketers perform at a series of fixtures at King's Bruton against our neighbouring counties, enjoying the new pavilion facilities as well as the outstanding playing surfaces.
In the background we have continued to ensure the School remains fit for purpose with such diverse work as a new roof on the Wyndham teaching block, refurbishment and decoration of the boarding houses, new broadband connections to ensure all our sites are connected with the digital capacity necessary for 21st century education, and the reluctant felling of trees in the centre of our site affected by ash die back.
With our outstanding and dedicated staff we are now ready for the fresh cohort of 2024 to start their King’s journey, and to see all our pupils flourish as they benefit from all that a King’s education has to offer.
