Though the exam season is upon us, and many of us are looking forward to summer fun, the pupils and staff at King’s have not forgotten the plight of our friends in Ukraine.
Already, this half term, we have enjoyed the talents of our musicians - at a concert for the Ukraine appeal - and a mufti-day, both of which have raised valuable funds. For mufti-day we dressed in green to raise awareness of the impact of loneliness on mental health; so by having some fun and wearing non school uniform, we were able to raise money for Ukraine whilst raising awareness of a global problem.
Next Tuesday 17th May, will see some of our pupils packing some of the trackable rucksacks that are being sent to Ukraine, it will no doubt be a humbling experience. My thanks to all the pupils who have run, baked, cycled, played, rowed and for all the other activities they have organised so far. Let’s keep going, with our efforts!
