Boarding Outdoors and Adventure

On Sunday, 3rd October we had 45 pupils and 4 Staff ready and prepared to visit Skirmish in Exeter for our annual Paintballing trip.

The weather was good, in fact the sun shone as we all boarded a coach from outside Blackford. Eager pupils were ready and the coach meandered its way through Taunton to Exeter, as we travelled the weather decided to change too.

It was raining when we arrived at Skirmish. We listened to a safety briefing and got kitted out. Mr Griffin-Raphael was brave enough to accompany the pupils in the arena. He managed to get himself on the team with some good marks people, to try and alleviate some of the hits from the paintballs, although he does have many marks from where the paint ball managed to hit him, even from his own team.

We played an number of different games of capturing the flags, and the pupils favourite task, which is to try and blow up the bridge. A number of smoke grenades really aiding with this process. We had two GoPros attached to the pupils to show the fun that was had. Some footage is shown below.

A fun filled activity, not spoilt by the rain and some very tired, but happy, pupils on the coach on the way home. Thank you to Mr Owens, Mrs McMunn and Mr Brown for accompanying me on the trip, and for not laughing too much when you saw me come out of the arena covered in paint.
