Jim and Andrew - Heroes of the DT Department...
Up until this week, the silversmithing class have had to route around in a box full of letter punching stamps to find the letter they were looking for. It could take a long time, so an enquiry was sent to Jim and Andrew in the DT Department to see if they could make a block of wood with holes in for the punches to stand tidily.
What they have produced is brilliant. We are now the proud owners of wooden blocks capped in blue perspex to keep the punches tidy and visible. Jim and Andrew also mended our bench pegs with a bit of spot welding, so they are good as new.
The Sixth Form bubble enjoyed the organisation during their lesson this week, and produced some beautiful rings and earrings.
Thank you Jim and Andrew.
