Twenty King’s Bruton girls and six members of staff took part in the annual Cancer Research Race for Life at Sherborne Castle on a glorious and very warm Sunday morning. All were running for friends and family who have been affected by cancer; in our thoughts particularly was Amy.

Miss Liddell-Grainger ran a perfect 5km and was the first female to cross the finishing line closely followed by Katie and Anna. Ella , Mrs Simper, Scarlett, Katie and Amy all made it into the top twenty finishing in less than half an hour! In the 10km race Kitty, Mattie, Mrs Bowes Lyon and Cully all came in the top twenty which was a fantastic achievement in such hot temperatures. The event was a wonderful day and all runners really enjoyed it. Moreover once sponsorship is added to race entry fees we raised over £750 for Cancer Research. An album of photos from the day can be seen below.
