Ian Wilmshurst, announces his retirement as Headmaster of King's Bruton..
By the end of the next academic year, it will have been my privilege to have been Headmaster of King's Bruton for 16 years, and I think the time is right, both for me and for King’s, for someone new to take over the leadership of the School. I informed the pupils during Assembly this morning, and an email has been sent to parents and Old Brutonians. I am not moving onto another headship, and my priority will continue to be the success of King’s throughout my final four terms as Headmaster.
Ian Wilmshurst - Headmaster
I am sure I do not have to tell you what an incredible job Ian has done for King's in leading the School through some challenging periods, such as the pandemic, but also the incredible highlights, including Her Late Majesty The Queen's visit in 2019. We wish both Ian and Helen every success in their next challenge. Stephen Edlmann MA - The Senior Warden
