The A Level Chemistry pupils were treated to an exciting evening of science at the Chemistry Symposium hosted by Sherborne School...

Each school attending selected one or two students to present about a chemistry related topic of their choice. These topics varied from battlefield medicine, the dangers of aspartame in food, quantum dots and an excellent presentation of carbon sustainability from our very own Harry, U6^th Form. It was a highly fascinating evening which we all enjoyed, and it highlighted to us as chemists, the importance and role of our subject outside the classroom. A big thank you to Mr Thompson from all of us for giving up his evening to make sure that we had the opportunity to do this.
