The L6th Form Biologists and Chemists enjoyed a Biochemistry trip to London...
First stop was the Science Museum, with particular focus on the Medicine galleries and the ‘Race for a Covid-19 Vaccination’ exhibit. There was lots of relevant material here to further pupils’ understanding about molecular structures and the advancement of technology in medicine. The Covid-19 exhibit was especially relevant for the L6th Biologists who study a module on Immunity. After lunch, we headed to the Natural History Museum, taking time to look around the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibit - incredible images showcasing many aspects of wildlife from animal behaviours to human impacts on the environment. To finish the day, a wander around some of the many exhibits at the Natural History Museum - from the mineral rooms to the blue whale and dinosaur skeletons. Something for all!
