A successful BTEC Enterprise charity fundraising Easter event...
The BTEC Enterprise Social Enterprise Event was held on Tuesday 21st at 4pm and Wednesday 22nd March at 10.30am (break). There were 4 teams of BTEC Enterprise pupils raising money for the School charities, Growing Space and OddBalls, as well as the Rainbow Trust. Each team provided different products and services and they have provided the following information:
Egg-citing Adventure raised £66.48: The Easter egg hunt pupils went around the School to find letter clues. The clues eventually revealed the word "RAINBOW," with the first few pupils to solve the mystery winning a substantial prize. The event was a huge success, and the pupils had a great time participating in the clue hunt and buying cookies and cakes. The event was not only fun, but it also helped support a worthy cause with a substantial amount of money being raised for the Rainbow Trust.
Wiffie’s Waffles raised £29.21: We had both teachers and pupils queueing up for our waffles. Many thanks goes out to Mrs Lucy Binns for providing all of the waffle mixture and sprinkles, and Mrs Charlotte Dick-Read for providing the tablecloth to make the table look more presentable. Finally, thank you to Mr Marshfield and Mr Jeffrey for providing the waffle machines. All of the profits will go towards The Growing Space who raise awareness for men’s mental health.
Sweet Spot raised £33.69: We were selling hot chocolate and sweets. We were also running a penalty shoot-out and netball shoot out with a fun chance to win a prize. The whole way through there was a rush of hungry customers. We would like to say thank you to the catering staff and Chartwells for letting us use their facilities and equipment, and Mr Erickson for letting use his goals and netball post. All of the profits will go towards The Growing Space who raise awareness for men’s mental health.
Slurpie raised £48.53: We made delicious smoothies and milkshakes which everyone really enjoyed. We had customers queuing up to buy our drinks making it very successful. From the event we made a total profit of £48.53 which we are donating to the OddBalls charity, who supports testicular cancer!
