An inspiring talk from award-winning photojournalist, Rick Findler...
On Monday 22nd November, conflict photographer, Rick Findler, delivered an enrichment talk to the King's Bruton Sixth Form, providing an insight into the hectic and dangerous life of an occupation whose workplace is often an active battlefield.
It was particularly interesting to visualise his journey from a small time photography enthusiast, capturing political protests in Athens, to being employed as a freelance professional photographer in Libya and Syria - providing the front cover image to a plethora of newspapers and outlets. Likewise, it was great to hear a wide range of questions being asked by King’s pupils and staff, including advice on how to enter the industry. Overall, it was an engaging and thought provoking talk and we hope to see Rick Findler at King's again in the future.
