New House are the winners in the Inter-House Chess competition...
There was a good turnout, with 26 pupils playing. It was interesting that the boys’ Houses fielded large teams: 9 players, 7 players and 4 players, whilst the girls’ Houses all sent exactly 2 players. It was very close between New House and Blackford House, but after 90 minutes of play and a total of 52 games played, we had a winner: New House get to retain the Chess Trophy for another year!
