Chess House Activities and Competitions

We held the Inter-House Chess Competition under strict Covid-secure controls. Players wore masks and were separated by screens.

It was great to see chess being played live after a year of online chess. Five rounds were enough for us to determine that Blackford House are the School Chess Champions again. The winning House is awarded the coveted Inter-House Chess Trophy (a coffee table with a chess board on it) back to their House to play on for the next academic year. The trophy is safely back in Blackford.

Sandy and Isaac (Blackford House), both unbeaten, played each other to see who is the best in school…they drew.

Thank you to all pupils who took part in a gruelling competition.
