I am delighted that Dr Emily Corrigan (Milly) will be the new Wellesley Housemistress from September. Milly knows Wellesley better than most as she was a pupil in Wellesley, leaving King’s in 2006, her mother, Juliet, was Wellesley Housemistress, while Milly has been both an outstanding Resident and House Tutor in Wellesley. Milly’s SMT (Senior Management Team) duties will be slightly adapted to ensure that she has time to focus on the care and welfare of the girls.
Milly will be joined in September by a new Resident Tutor, Ellie Carpenter. Ellie left Priory in 2016 so, from September, Wellesley will be led by two Old Brutonians. The Wellesley girls have impressively organised a new House colour of teal to replace the less-than-popular burgundy, along with a new House symbol, so the future is exciting for Wellesley. We will be thanking Emilie Loveless and Sandy Ling later this term for all that they have done for Wellesley as Housemistress and Resident Tutor respectively. - Ian Wilmshurst - Headmaster
As a Wellesley girl myself, I am delighted to be returning to my old boarding house which holds such happy memories for me. I am looking forward to continuing to promote the values at the centre of Wellesley House; ensuring that it remains the happy, nurturing and joyous place in the hearts of current and future Wellesley girls. - Dr Emily Corrigan
