Our international pupils baked and held a cake sale in aid of the Ocean Youth Trust...
The fall in the temperature is inversely proportional to the rise in need for cake, so November is a good time to hold a cake sale for our school charity. This term, King’s is fundraising for the Ocean Youth Trust, and the international pupils busied themselves with organising a cake sale at break-time on Tuesday.
The offer focussed fittingly on some international Christmassy cakes, so stollen, panettone, pandoro and spiced lebkuchen were favourite choices, but Smilla, Lily, Sophie and Sophia got together and baked a bumper batch of delicious cinnamon and butter franzbrötchen. Fabienne made a beautiful heart-shaped German cake, too. These were delicious and, unsurprisingly, went like the amazing hot cakes that they were!
Many of the girls helped with the selling, and the event raised £160 for the Ocean Youth Trust. Thank you to all involved, the bakers, the sellers and the eaters!
