L6th Form BTEC Enterprise pupils visited the South West Enterprise Centre...
The L6th Form BTEC Enterprise pupils went to the South West Enterprise Centre based in Bruton - one of 10 centres across the county. This included 3 great talks from Alex Cameron-Clarke - Business owner, OnePointTwo (Helping Small companies outsource to China); Victoria Hooper - Senior Operations Officer, and Ges Green - part of the TDA group. It also included a visit around the unit of Commune.CC and the office of Prop Fox. The talks were to help our pupils become even better Entrepreneurs and to support their journey with business planning and where there is guidance and financial support from the ERDF. The Enterprise Centre in Bruton is a valuable resource for the local community and beyond. The centres are owned by Somerset Council and are part of their Economic Development strategy to small business. Lots of pupils asked very constructive questions and it was great to see all the great initiatives in one location!
