Girls’ Cricket makes King’s history!...

On Thursday afternoon, the Girls’ 1^st XI Cricket made King’s history by being the first Girls’ 1^st XI to play in the National Schools T20 Competition, when they hosted Wellington School. This follows on from the Girls' U15s competing in the National Schools T20 against Millfield School a fortnight ago. Having lost the toss, King’s would bat first with Georgia and Ella putting on a 40 run partnership for the first wicket, with Georgia scoring a well worked 54. King’s posted 112-2 off their allocated 20 overs. Some tight bowling and excellent fielding in the second innings would lead to a tight finish with Wellington creeping over the line with four overs to spare. A great opportunity for our Girls to play at the highest level of school cricket, and we now look forward to our next National Plate fixture.
