An outstanding Spring Concert...

The Spring Concert took place on Friday 17^th March in the Hauser & Wirth Recital Hall. It was a superb evening from start to finish with the Concert opening with the Orchestra accompanying Tom (U6^th Form, Blackford House) in a performance of Lord God of Abraham from Mendelssohn’s oratorio Elijah. This was followed by Suite from the Hobbit with five contrasting movements. The remainder of the Concert featured performances from various ensembles large and small including: Military Band, Wind Quintet, String Ensemble, School Choir, Brass Group, Chapel Choir, Piano Trio, Chamber Choir and Big Band. There were so many highlights during the evening, and all the pupils performed brilliantly well. It was wonderful to see the pupils enjoying performing together in the presence of an appreciative audience. The Concert was preceded by drinks kindly served by 6^th Form BTEC Hospitality pupils.
