An outstanding Woodwind Concert...
On Friday 27th January, the annual Woodwind Concert took place in the Hauser & Wirth Recital Hall in The Queen Elizabeth Music School. There were many excellent solo performances, punctuated by ensembles, including the Clarinet, Flute and Saxophone Ensembles.
The Flute Ensemble opened the Concert with an atmospheric performance of The Godfather by Vanhaegenberg. The Clarinet Ensemble performed Red Rock Valley by Fairhead towards the middle of the Concert, and the Saxophone Ensemble played Welcome Dance by Street, which provided a fitting conclusion to the Concert. All the soloists were outstanding and deserve huge credit for their achievement.
Well done and congratulations to all.
