L6th Form BTEC Hospitality pupils were lucky enough to experience Hospitality at it’s absolute best when they were invited as guests to The Queensbury Hotel in Bath.
Pupils were privileged to be treated to a two course lunch at The Olive Tree Restaurant, the only Michelin Star restaurant in Bath, part of The Queensbury Hotel. Our hosts, Laurence and Helen Beere, were gracious and accommodating and truly inspired our pupils to think outside the box when it comes to Hospitality. Their insight into different aspects of Hospitality, opened their eyes to the many possibilities within the industry. The food was delicious and service impeccable and we are very grateful to staff for their time and effort. The visit was to consolidate learning about the scale and diversity of the Hospitality industry and to experience and discuss classification systems such as Michelin, all of which they have been discovering this term. The pupils were a credit to King’s, and showed maturity and engagement on the day. They also visited Walcot House, an eclectic venue combining a stylish restaurant/bar, a dance club and a gym with yoga and cycling classes. What an experience!
