On Friday evening, ten pupils gave their first public performance as a pupil at King’s.
The New Musicians’ and Award Holders’ Concert was live-streamed and over 90 people have so far tuned in to watch from home. It is probably the most nerve-wracking concert of any pupils’ school career. However, despite this, the performers gave it their all in what was a special evening. Jared opened the concert with a confident performance of Foxtrot by Harris. This was followed with a range of repertoire from Purcell’s Dido’s Lament to traditional sea shanties. All the pupils really supported and encouraged each other so well which was lovely to see.
Well done to all involved in a superb New Musicians’ and Award Holders’ Concert and we look forward to supporting these fine musicians over the coming years.
