On Friday 21st September the Chapel Choir travelled to Wells Cathedral to take part in a service of Choral Evensong on the International Day of Peace and the Feast of St Matthew.
As part of the celebration, the Cathedral hosted a One Day One Choir initiative, in which singers globally are encouraged to join together to pray and to sing for world peace. Several local choirs were represented and it was a huge privilege to join forces with the world renowned Wells Cathedral Choir to sing the anthem ‘How Lovely are the Messengers’ by Felix Mendelssohn. The Chapel Choir were able to sit back and enjoy listening to the Cathedral Choir sing the Psalm, Responses and Canticles. A good time was had by all! Some photos from the afternoon can be seen in the album below.
