On Thursday 1st February over 60 Year Six Hazlegrove pupils arrived at King’s for an afternoon of fun Science.
In Biology, senses were investigated along with exploring how these are used to help interpret, understand and react to environment stimuli. Tests were performed involving touch, taste and sound to see which pupil had the best senses and to investigate how some senses make you doubt the information being received from other senses. Pupils made slime and some edible sherbet in chemistry, which proved very popular. Within Physics, pupils had to think carefully about forces and where they act on a structure to build a free-standing tower from drinking straws, paper and string. It was fantastic to welcome so many pupils from Hazlegrove; we look forward to the next event. An album from the afternoon can be seen below.
