Over thirty-two delegates descended on King’s for the Higher Education and Future Opportunities Fair on Thursday.
Representing a wide range of universities, from St Andrew’s to Cambridge, Cardiff, Winchester and far more besides, as well as gap year providers, degree apprenticeship advisers and business trainers, there was a wealth of information to be gained by inquisitive 5th and L6th Form pupils and their parents. A buzz of excitement reflected new found possibilities for the pupils’ futures and a new sense of purpose and ambition for those looking to the next stage in the lives after King’s Sixth Form. Nine seminars from experts across the options provided wise guidance in areas as broad as “How to Choose a University” and “What are Degree Apprenticeships?”, to the narrower “Why Study Humanities?”, “HE and Careers in Sport” and even “Studying Medicine in Australia”. A huge thank you to the delegates who battled Glastonbury travellers to be at the event.
