Monday 18^th November saw 55 pupils from the 5^th Form and 6^th Form taking part in the annual Engineering Challenge Day here at King’s.

Teams faced the “Great KSB Eggs-it Challenge”, which saw them using paper to design and build a tower at least 1.2m tall connected to a bridge spanning a 1m gap. They then had to design a mechanism to transport a raw egg from the top of the tower to the opposite side of the bridge. Designs were incredibly varied and very successful and all pupils should be congratulated that only two eggs broke in testing!

Well done to all involved, especially the winning team consisting of Aaron, Rian, Isaac, Anya & Ben.

An egg-cellent Engineering day based on structures, forces and moments. Build a freestanding structure of 1.2m. Add a bridge to span 1m.
