Under a glorious blue Somerset sky, King’s Bruton welcomed nine other schools for the annual Marden Trophy cross-country event.
Around 170 runners competed over the School’s new course which proved a challenging but beautiful opponent. The Intermediate Girls’ race was won by Sophie Hamilton, one of 20 King's runners in this event. Precise, instant timings were provided by ‘fullonsport’s’ timing chip system, which enabled the results to be delivered in record time, and published immediately on the web.Sincere thanks go to: fullonsport for the use of their fantastic system; the ground staff for laying out a terrific course; Hauser & Wirth - for the access across their land; the Directors of Sport; Catering staff; and King’s pupils and staff who gave up their time to marshal the event with such enthusiasm and efficiency.
