A busy Week 2 of sport...

Another busy week of sport saw our hockey, netball and table tennis teams in action, whilst it was great to see some pupils compete in the Somerset Schools’ Athletics Championships.

The netball teams enjoyed a competitive triangular block with Wells Cathedral and King’s College Taunton. A special mention to the 2^nd, 3^rd and 4^th teams who impressively won all of their matches. There were excellent performances from Georgia, Liv, Freya and Eva. On the junior side, the U15As played very well in both matches, with the U14As beating Wells. Islay impressed, whilst Ruby and Rose were also named players of their matches.

The 1^st XI hockey team had pleasing cup victories against Bristol Grammar and Portsmouth Grammar Schools, whilst three games in 5 days took its toll vs Exeter. Well done to the U15As who had an excellent victory against Exeter, and there were impressive individual performances from Ronnie, Jeevan, Jacob, Issa, William and Rafe.

The table tennis team enjoyed their first outing of the term with Hayden being player of the day. Finally, the cross-country runners represented the Yeovil area very well at the Somerset Championships, with a special mention to both Pia and Samuel who finished in the top 10 and have a chance of being selected for the Somerset team to compete at the Regional Championships.
