Clay Pigeon Shooting
We had a good day at Mendip Shooting Ground competing at the Millfield Challenge Clay Pigeon Competition. The full report and video which the pupils filmed, can be viewed here.
Badminton Senior Boys vs Downside
1st team lost 7-2.
It was a tricky fixture against the experienced team of Downside. Dimitri and Jonathan started off strongly, they won their opening doubles game 21-15, after some well executed drop shots from Jonathan. With some unforced errors at critical moments, they lost their next game 21-16. Harry also displayed some excellent power to his game, particularly on the smash. After some long tiring rallies, he eventually lost his singles match 11-5. A productive weekend for all the players in which they can take a lot of positives.
Equestrian
A small team went down to Pontispool to try and qualify for Hickstead again. In the 90cm, Phoebe came 8th and Lilah had a unlucky run out to finish 30th in a massive field. In the 1m, Emily rode a beautiful round to finish 3rd, Marcia finished 12th. A great result from Emily and Marcia.
