A highly competitive first fixture of the summer term.
On Saturday 24th April, the first team cricket boys played in a highly competitive match against Monkton Combe. This was our first fixture of the summer, and it was great to see school sport properly back up and running, with parents allowed to watch, and another school allowed to play against us, all of course, within the government's guidelines for Covid-19.
King’s got off to a fantastic start, getting a wicket in the first couple of overs, and then managing to restrict Monkton to 147 from their 30 overs. King’s went into bat with a lot of confidence. After a brilliant bowling performance, which showed with Archie and Jay putting on 96 for the first wicket, King’s went on to win the game by 7 wickets.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon, and we thank Monkton for the fixture.
