On Tuesday 21st January, we had the pleasure of hosting the National Youth Theatre at King’s.
The day included a 3 hour workshop followed by individual auditions for each of the pupils involved. The morning was focused on ensemble work, creativity and devising theatre which challenged the pupils to think outside of the box using a range of techniques led by the NYT practitioner. All of the pupils were engaged throughout and developed some thoughtful responses to the devising stimuli. It was exciting to see their confidence grow throughout the day particularly when asked to attempt the new techniques and exercises. I am proud of all that took part, particularly those participating for the first time.
Taking part in this workshop and audition day was a great experience for all involved and could lead to some excellent opportunities in the future. Fingers crossed for results day in May!
