A team of seven King’s runners qualified for the annual Somerset Schools' Cross Country Championships, held at Yeovil Country Park.
Conditions were freezing, though still, and relatively good for a long distance race. The boys fared well with mid-table finishes, and for the younger runners this was an important opportunity to step-up to a far higher level. Ruby Lowsley Williams challenged successfully for the Red Somerset Vest, while Sophie Hamilton pre-qualified for the County (based on previous times). Yeovil proved a tough course, but provided a hugely valuable afternoon of sport. An album of photos from the afternoon can be viewed below.
