The team has won all of its nine matches and now heads for a clean sweep against Wycliffe College next Saturday.
A report on last Saturday's match: With Christ’s College having won the fixture at 1st XV level last year, the pressure was on for the 1sts to keep up their winning streak. King’s rose magnificently to the challenge in a close, hard fought match in windy conditions, producing the best team performance of the season. The Brecon defence proved to be a tough nut to crack, but after some sustained pressure they were caught off guard by a quick- thinking tap penalty from Rory Cadbury. In the second half Brecon never stopped tackling, but the King’s backs split the defence to put Matt Trickey under the posts, and Rory Cadbury added more points with a conversion, a penalty, and a drop goal as the icing on the cake to bring the final score to 20 points to 3.
