A successful Architectural and Drawing workshop for our King's Bruton artists...
The Art Department was fortunate enough to be given an Architectural and Drawing workshop by Theo Scaramanga and Roger Gallannaugh, two Old Brutonians who have gone on to forge successful careers in architecture. The pupils were delighted by tales of their working practice and experiences. Both Roger and Theo brought in their sketch book which highlighted the importance of drawing frequently for their work. They explained their different styles and techniques, and for an hour and a half, the pupils practiced.
The afternoon was a huge success, and we are so grateful to both Roger and Theo for taking the time to come in and inspire the artists. Those looking to head off and study architecture or interior design at university found the experience extremely useful as did the 5th Form pupils looking to improve their technique. Roger has kindly agreed to come in again and give a few more workshops which we are extremely happy about. We can’t wait for the next instalment.
