It was fantastic to welcome back the Sexual Health Circus, who performed to our 3rd Form pupils.
The purpose was to educate our pupils in a fun and engaging way about relationships and sex education. Ollie, from the 3rd Form, said: ‘It was much better than I was expecting. It was really fun and enjoyable’.
A team of talented circus performers, compare the trust, openness and respect they have for each other in their performance on stage, to healthy sexual relationships. They do this in a straight-talking, no-nonsense manner, integrating juggling, unicycles, ballet and acrobats with sex and relationships education. The result is spellbinding.
The second half was a Q and A session, where pupils can ask any question, for an expert Sex and Relationship educator to answer. The performers added their thoughts to give further depth and explanation.
Ellie, from the 3rd Form, thought that it was good to have an outside group "as you felt more confident and less embarrassed asking questions."
