Last Monday evening, the Sixth Form chemists attended the last Sherborne Girls School Chemistry Symposium of this academic year.
Talks were given on the synthesis and effects of caffeine, titanium oxide and its uses, how chemistry can be used in art restoration, the chemistry of cosmetics and the chemistry of drugs. The final, very thought provoking, presentation of the evening was delivered by Poppy entitled ‘How chemistry can be used to save rhinos’.
