On Friday 3rd May, the Headmaster and his wife held a black tie dinner in which the School Prefects were fully responsible in the organisation and cooking of the food.
On arrival, it felt as if we were going to be cooking for Gordon Ramsey in 'Hell’s Kitchen', however, there was a strong sense of camaraderie between the prefects and the atmosphere was ‘Mary Berry’ enjoyable.
The night kicked off with Sam I, Anna W and Sam H making salmon blinis, fit the canapés. This was shortly followed by a well executed nacho dish made by Luke T and Harry McL-A. Esther A, Molly H, Holly B and Poppy B all contributed significantly to preparing a cheesy, tomato and pasta bake.
Putting all the other courses to shame, Clara B and Luke H made an extravagant chocolate fondant with ice cream which finished the night off perfectly. Overall, it was a very successful evening considering the fact that nobody contracted food poisoning and that only one glass of wine was spilt!
