Our excellent Grounds Team have been hard at work over the summer holidays...
Over the summer our biggest task has been dealing with the weather. External cricket lettings into August reduced our preparation time for the rugby pitches, so it has been a huge task and effort for the team to be ready and have some grass surfaces ready for contact rugby.
Some of the other projects over the summer included installing new spectator fencing for the 1st Team rugby pitch, and the pitch has been scarified, over seeded and top dressed. All the other pitches have been marked in for rugby and football and all the posts have been put up. We renovated the Memorial Hall Lawn and this still needs more work to gain the standard we want to achieve.
Max joined the Grounds Team over the summer, and this brought us back up to full staff, he has settled in well. The team have also been busy tidying up in preparation for everyone’s return to school.
