An exciting Inter-House Cross Country event was enjoyed by pupils and staff in their bubbles.
With the background of social distancing and COVID, King’s Bruton managed to stage it’s Inter-House Cross Country competition on Tuesday 23rd March.
The Houses all put forward teams to compete on the newly created 1.5 mile Marden Relay course and the sun shone on the competitors in what was a wonderful afternoon of athletic competition. It was challenging in many respects, not least in the distance covered and of course the terrain. All four teams (two Senior and two Junior) contributed to the end result, so every run added to the success of the House. There were some fantastic individual runs, with the new course records being set in all 4 categories:
Senior Boys
Jonathan: 9m 07s,
Senior Girls
Anya: 10m 29s,
Junior Boys
Max: 9m 17s
Junior Girls
Anouska: 10m 55s.
Well done to all the pupils who competed and it was particularly good to be taking part in what was (nearly) a whole school activity.
