The 5th Form Advanced Infantry made the short journey to Yoxter Ranges, Priddy for their annual Live Range Field Day on Friday 5th October.
Weapon Handling Tests had been completed, marksmanship principles honed and all cadets were looking forward to testing themselves on the 100m range. Cadets fired twenty shots to ensure that the rifle was adjusted accurately for the competition shoot.Cadets then fired ten shots from the prone position and ten shots from the kneeling position. The shoot was marked and cadets will be awarded the appropriate badges for their shooting. The standard of shooting was very high, the weapon handling skills excellent and the cadets were a credit to the CCF. The weather was glorious for once at Yoxter and a very successful Field Day was had by all! Some photos from the day can be seen below!
